Hi, My 1st Trulia blog post. I suppose I can start by saying how great it is to live here by Lake Oroville with it’s warm evenings and usually clear skies where you can see the stars of which I am a buff. When I want to go see culture so to speak, like the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco is only a 2 1/2 to 3 hour ride, Old Sacramento is about an hour and ten, minutes that is. Reno and Tahoe are about 2 1/2 hours depending on which road seems appealing to make the drive on. Either Hwy 70 thru the foothills, following the Feather River and on to Quincy, then Portola and Reno (Stead Field for the Reno Air Races in September). Or the back way thru Bangor, Browns Valley to Grass Valley, Nevada City up the hill to Hwy 80 (busy and fast scary road I think) but quicker to get to Tahoe or Reno. Boy just typin this here makes me want to jump in my truck and go for a ride but I have clients after their work tonite so I will just stick close to home and see if I can find them a house to make a home.
