Hi,

For 8 US postage stamps which is $3.52 by today’s price— and a little of your time and energy —you can send this letter to those in charge and ask them not to make unnecessarily high down payment requirements.

Plain and Simple.

Ask yourself this—Can you and your children (if you have any) afford a 20% down payment to buy a home?

That is what is undergoing discussion.

Most Americans Can’t.

Take Charge and Let them Know How You Feel.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, #2

Yes you too can help Protect California Homeowners Rights even if you are not a Realtor.

Takes only 2 minutes of your time to make your voice heard.

If you will notice you must change the top of the letter to read as a citizen of california or however you want to describe yourself because it is built in as coming from a Realtor–I think as a resident of california you should allow your voice to be heard even if you are not a Realtor.

Attention Home/Property Owners in the LOAPUD SEWER District. LOAPUD has Temporarily put on hold Implementing their Mandated Ordinance NO. 1-09

 | Comments Off

These July 14, 2009  minutes were hand typed by me as I could not copy/paste from the PDF file.
Here is the direct link for you to see for yourself what they say.
The August minutes are not posted yet.

COMPREHENSIVE SEWER RULES AND REGULATIONS ORDINANCE NO. 1-09

Manager Brown reiterated the Board adopted the Comprehensive Sewer Rules And Regulations Ordinance NO. 1-09 in May 2009. Since then, Manager Brown has met With the local realtors and escrow title representatives to discuss the implementation of The Ordinance.   Manager Brown stated based on the feedback received he would Recommend postponing the publishing of the Ordinance for a reasonable amount of time To provide a window for the effected parties to develop the District’s policy into Their business plan.  After discussion it was moved by Director Ball and seconded by Director Dennis To suspend the implementation of Ordinance NO. 1-09           The motion  passed with a
majority affirmative vote.             The results were as follows:

AYES; President Fraser, Director Ball, Dennis and Onken
                                       ABSENT: Director Kiely

It sounds to me like they are being considerate and giving us time to prepare for the Point Of Sale (Point of Sale means when a home is being sold and goes into escrow it will then be mandated by LOAPUD that the seller pay for a test to determine if the sewer line is leaking–which means the seller will probably have to hire a contractor to test the line. If it fails the test, it will then have to be dug up and replaced at a cost to the seller which could be $5,000 or $10,000 or more depending on the length of the line from the house to the sewer.  It has the potential to hold up the sale or stop a sale if it is a short sale.
If you own a home or property in the LOAPUD Sewer District—This Will Affect You.
It is just a matter of how and when the testing will be done.
More to follow soon:

Sacramento Tea Party at Capitol Friday Aug 28, 2009

Here are pictures of the Oroville Tea Party Patriots. The caravan started in Redding, Red Bluff, Chico then they stopped here in Oroville. We drove to Marysville and picked up more people and then made our way to the capitol city. There were many speakers in front of the capitol that day including Senator Tom Mcclintock, Assemblyman Dan Logue, Former Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa (a rice farmer from Butte county) knew the importance of more Americans Waking Up and holding Government More  Accountable and spoke about the  Loss of Jobs, 50% in the San Joaquin Valley because  the Water has been Shut Off to Farmers in the Central Valley almost Stopping Food Production. New regulations pushed thru by CARB are making it Very Difficult if Almost Impossible to Affordably Implement for owners of Diesel Trucks. If it doesn’t affect you and your family yet don’t worry it will–it’s inevitable unfortunately. Get Involved. Save Our State and Our Way of Life Here in California.
